The Mirror
03:09
|
|||
Falling into dreams as black sleep surrounds me
I cannot control the visions never ending
Staring into the mirror no reflections of me
Thus I know this is dreams and not reality
The passage of time is not what it seems
Horrifying visions conjured only in dreams
Could this be just the beginning of my journey?
Or will i be torn from this plane prematurely?
Falling down, Hollowed out
I am mesmerized by the obscure
Requiring a master to open the door
Eldritch patterns block the way home
Secrets of the sleepers bound in tomes
Descending deeper into sleep
Lacking any clear vision of what I should seek
Will this cloud of confusion ever dissipate?
Or must I conquer this land before I can escape?

Finally I've found a master to obey
One who can instruct me in the sleepless ways
"This road will be a rough one, so be prepared to fail"
Over and over, my master pushes me
Over and over, I begin to believe
"Beyond the horizon, the Golden City sleeps
That is your destination, but you must go without me"
"I can help you, but I may only plant the seed"
Over and over, my master teaches me
Over and over, I succeed
"Endless torment, must be overcome
Grasp these concepts, then you will be done"
My training is over, I've got all I need
I am ready to walk, the path that lies before me

Just one small drop
Leads to great waves
Internal thoughts
Become beings
What once was naught
Is now endless
The greatest feats of man
Are nothing in this land
Where humble beggars rule
And Kings and Queens are tools
My Journey begins... now...
Just one small drop
Leads to great waves
What once was naught
Is now endless

What is beyond this endless desolation?
Walking for so long, will I reach my destination?
Red hot sand beneath my feet, blazing sun overhead
There is no end in sight, will this journey cost my life?
Obliteration of the self, as my skin begins to melt
I fall down
The sun spirals overhead, a day without end
I fall again
My body weak and limp, crawling endlessly
I stand again and take a deep breath
My throat is parched and dry, I'm almost certain I will die
No end in sight, blinded by this abyssal light
My Journey's almost done
I see the golden city, blazing in the sun
Its towers touch the sky
A crystal prism way up high
Even though I'm almost there
Death surrounds me everywhere
I take this as a sign
I'm running out of time
Well beyond this desolation
The city lies in wait
A beam flies from the crystal
and hits me in the chest

Crystalized
03:02
|
|||
Red light surrounds me, at the Kings behest
I feel crystals form, beginning at my chest
This pain excruciating, I fight and try my best
But its no use, no getting out of this mess
Blinded by crimson light, Metamorphosized
Warping my body, becoming crystaline
This is the end of me, I know it is, I'm sure
Crystals spread to my legs binding them to the floor
Something tells me there's no getting out of this
Crystals spread to me arms, binding my wrists
I look around me and find I'm not the first
Hundreds of crystal prisons lining the dirt
O' Destroyer, free me from my tomb
O' Destroyer, there must be something you can do
Break the shackles, free all trapped within
Hear my pleas and I will join you

The Destroyer
04:00
|

"I hear The Dreamer call my name
barely staving off the grave
He needs a helping hand
To defeat the Tyrant of this land
Bounding over trees and lakes
There's no time to make mistakes
I see fields of crystal shapes
I just hope I don't arrive too late
The Beams of light hit my chest
As the sleeper takes one last breath
No chance for freedom as long as that tower stands
I grasp that giant crystal in between my hands
The crystal shatters in my hands
Freeing hundreds just as planned
The shards embed into my flesh
Still it's only the beginning of my quest
Charging through the Golden City streets
Soon me and The Dreamer will meet
Ambushed at all sides by The Kings guards
Even so I make it out unharmed"

I awake, face in the dirt
Every inch of me still hurts
The Destroyer at my side
Hundreds freed and still alive
Every one of them willing to fight
Every one of them willing to die
Pledging themselves to my cause
Willing to fight in this war
All are marching side by side
Towards the towers that tough the sky
Many men have sworn an oath
To protect what matters most
Every one of them willing to fight
Every one of them willing to die
Pledging themselves to my cause
Willing to fight in this war
Every one of them willing to fight
Every one of them willing to die
Pledging themselves to my cause
Willing to fight in this war

Besieging the Capital
03:20
|
|||
The Tyrant watches us from the golden walls
Afraid to open up the door and lose it all
The Destroyer gets to work dismantling the gates
Panicking the Tyrant is planning his escape
No way out!
The way is clear so hundreds of us flow into the streets
Cutting through the walls of men who are fighting for deceit
Soon we will approach the palace where the Tyrant hides
I know he is in there now cowering in fright
Break the door
Hide no more
Win this fight
End in sight
No way out!

The battle's over now
So I take this bloody crown
Making sure he's dead
By lopping off his head
Blood occludes the floor
We are slaves no more
Freedom is assured
Picking off survivors
The City now is ours
Crimson stains the brickwork
Shining in the twilight hours
Hundreds cheer my name
Showering me with fame
The world is forever changed
By my actions today

The Fallen Ones
02:23
|
|||
I am beckoned into a hall
Made of flawless ruby stone
Nine thrones surround the center
Each bearing an abysmal Fallen One
In turn they speak to me
Gesturing to an empty seat
They know of my deeds
And are impressed by me
After much deliberation
They deem me worthy
I take my place amongst them
Not knowing what's in store for me
They show me visions
Of otherworldly planes
Allowing me to choose the place
They journey to next
